Instructions for Contributors
West Asia and Africa is a bimonthly comprehensive academic journal published by the Institute of West Asian and African Studies (IWAAS) of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS). Since its first publication in 1980, the journal is devoting to the theoretical, strategic, comprehensive and practical ideas and standards, offering deeper surveys on West Asian and African politics, economies, international relations, histories, religions, cultures, and societies. Updated research articles on international and regional’s current hot issues, and academic frontier relating to these regions are welcome as well.
The journal is the only leading academic platform specialized for publications of China’s West Asian and African studies. All submissions will be under an anonymous dual consideration before acceptance.
Contributions should include: article title, a brief abstract of about 200 words, 3 to 5 keywords, author’s information (author’s name, institutional affiliation, mailing address, telephone number, and email address), the main text, and footnotes.
The journal publishes in Chinese with English abstract. Foreign contributors may submit articles in their first languages, but English is practically welcome. Articles should be more than 15 000 English words. Articles submitted to the journal should be original contributions and not under consideration for any other publication at the same time.
Contributors will be paid a pre-tax contribution fee of 1800 RMB ( or 1600 RMB after tax, aproximately 260 USD), and be presented 2 samples of the journal upon the publication of their articles.
